Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar – A Day of Discovery in the City of Sri

Upon your arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Kashmirinluxury™ representative who will assist with your smooth transition to your luxurious accommodations in Srinagar. The city’s name, a blend of the Sanskrit words ‘Sri’ (symbolising wealth and prosperity) and ‘Nagar’ (meaning city), is fitting for a place that exudes richness in both culture and natural beauty. Nestled amidst majestic mountains, verdant valleys, and shimmering lakes, and dotted with ancient temples, Mughal-era forts, and gardens, Srinagar has long been a source of inspiration for poets and explorers alike. Post-lunch, we embark on an exploration of some of Srinagar’s most iconic sites. Our journey begins at Pari Mahal, also known as the ‘Palace of Fairies.’ This architectural marvel, with its seven terraces, was constructed by the Mughal prince Dara Shikoh and offers panoramic views of the valley below from its perch atop the Zabarwan mountain range. On our way to Pari Mahal, we will also stop at Cheshma Shahi, or the ‘Royal Spring.’ This exquisite Mughal garden, established around a natural spring in 1632 CE, is a testament to the era’s architectural genius. Should your visit coincide with the blooming season, the vibrant tulip gardens of Srinagar will be an added treat for the senses. As evening falls, indulge in a serene Shikara ride on the tranquil waters of Dal Lake, where the reflection of the setting sun on the water creates a mesmerising ambiance. Afterward, we return to your hotel, where a lavish dinner awaits. The day concludes with a restful night, preparing you for the adventures ahead.

Day 2: Journey to Gulmarg – Embracing Natures Splendour

After a hearty breakfast, embark on a day excursion to Gulmarg, a true gem in the crown of Jammu and Kashmir. Originally known as “Gauri Marg,” named after Goddess Parvati, this mountain resort is a paradise for nature lovers. Surrounded by lush greenery and stunning landscapes, Gulmarg offers an unparalleled experience. For an unforgettable adventure, take a gondola ride to Apharwat Peak, where you’ll be greeted with breathtaking views that stretch across the valley—a haven for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers. Golf aficionados can also indulge in a round at the world’s highest golf course, where the sport is played amidst the backdrop of the mighty Himalayas, offering not just a game, but an extraordinary adventure. As the day draws to a close, return to your hotel or houseboat in Srinagar to enjoy a delightful dinner. The comfort of your accommodations ensures a peaceful overnight stay, allowing you to rest and rejuvenate.

Day 3: Departure – A Fond Farewell

On your final day, if airline timings permit, begin with an early morning visit to the Shankaracharya Temple, perched atop the Shankaracharya Hill, offering panoramic views of the breathtaking Srinagar city and Dal Lake. This ancient temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is not only a significant spiritual site but also a place steeped in history and tranquility. After your temple visit, return to your accommodations for a leisurely breakfast. Following this, the Kashmirinluxury™ team will assist with your smooth transfer to Srinagar Airport for a preferred post-lunch flight. En route, there’s an optional opportunity for some last-minute souvenir shopping. As you bid farewell to the enchanting landscapes of Kashmir, take with you memories of an extraordinary journey that will linger long after you return home.
